Disorder considerations in resource‐constrained scheduling

Construction Management and Economics, 2009
A method is presented for allocating resources to construction activities and for scheduling construction projects under resource constraints by considering the effects that such resource limitations may have on the tendency of the activities (and the project in general) to fall into disarray and behind schedule.

On Designing Resource-Constrained CNNs Efficiently

2022
Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have been adopted in many computer vision applications to achieve high performance. However, the growing computational demand of CNNs has made it increasingly difficult to deploy state-of-the-art CNNs onto resource-constrained platforms. As a result, model compression/acceleration has emerged to be an important

Aspiration adaptation in resource-constrained environments

Journal of Urban Economics, 2018
Abstract We use a multi-country field experiment that combines random variation at the treatment level with exogenous variation in the length of exposure to treatment to test the effect of a slum housing intervention on the evolution of the housing aspirations of untreated co-resident neighbors.

The Resource Constrained RTVP

2021

Resource-Constrained Scheduling

2001
As we have seen, maximizing the net present value of a project can be done in polynomial time, if precedence constraints are the only side constraints that have to be taken into account. Unfortunately, things become much more complex, if resource constraints come in as well. We consider here renewable resources.

Unreliable and resource-constrained decoding.

2010
Traditional information theory and communication theory assume that decoders are noiseless and operate without transient or permanent faults. Decoders are also traditionally assumed to be unconstrained in physical resources like material, memory, and energy.

A Practical Resource-Constrained Norm Monitor

International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2017
Norm monitoring often assumes that monitors have unlimited resources to observe the environment and the actions performed by agents. In this paper, we relax this assumption and propose a practical resource-constrained norm monitor capable of selecting the resources to be deployed based on their cost and value to norm monitoring.
