Physicians’ Responses to Resource Constraints [PDF]
A common dilemma that confronts physicians in clinical practice is the allocation of scarce resources. Yet the strategies used by physicians in actual situations of resource constraint have not been studied. This study explores the strategies and rationales reported by physicians in situations of resource constraints encountered in practice.A national ...

Environment as a Resource, not a Constraint
In this article I argue that the study of contextual issues in economics has been limited in its scope because economists have mostly conceived of the environment as a constraint on individual action. I identify and discuss three conventions that pull economists into such conceptualization of the environment.

Sampling as a resource-rational constraint [PDF]
Abstract Resource rationality is useful for choosing between models with the same cognitive constraints but cannot settle fundamental disagreements about what those constraints are. We argue that sampling is an especially compelling constraint, as optimizing accumulation of evidence or hypotheses minimizes the cost of time, and there are well ...

Goals and Resource Constraints in CARMA
Abstract Carma is a recently developed, high-level quantitative modelling language developed for the design and analysis of collective adaptive systems. In the current Carma language, agents within a system consist of a behaviour, captured as a process, and knowledge, represented as a store of attributes.

Multi-Type UAVs Cooperative Task Allocation Under Resource Constraints
Coordinated task allocation for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (multi-UAVs) is an important problem. Taking considerations of the types of UAVs, and the resources are extremely significant in the coordinated control of multi-UAVs.

A Quantitative Review of Automated Neural Search and On-Device Learning for Tiny Devices
This paper presents a state-of-the-art review of different approaches for Neural Architecture Search targeting resource-constrained devices such as microcontrollers, as well as the implementations of on-device learning techniques for them.

Algorithm training to search for the most appropriate fuzzy project scheduling program due to resource constraints [PDF]
To schedule a project, you need to pay attention to the uncertainty about some of the project's parameters, such as the cost and time of the project. Fuzzy theory is used to consider this uncertainty.

A proposal for selective resuscitation of adult cardiac arrest patients in a pandemic
Allocation of limited resources in pandemics begs for ethical guidance. The issue of ventilator allocation in pandemics has been reviewed by many medical ethicists, but as localities activate crisis standards of care, and health care workers are infected
