Abstract Advanced Resources Planning hits the bottom of what we know as aggregate planning. This approach differs from other approaches in that it explicitly recognizes the stochastic nature of manufacturing systems. Therefore, it is an ideal high-level tuning and planning tool which can be used in various planning environments like MRP, ERP, JIT ...

In this paper a model for planning with fuzzy resources is presented. Nearly all existing models of planning with resources need to work with exact value of the resources modified by actions execution. Therefore these models cannot deal with more realistic situations in which the resources quantities are not completely known.

RESOURCE-ORIENTED PARALLEL PLANNING
[Proceedings 1989] IEEE International Workshop on Tools for Artificial Intelligence, 1992This paper presents a new paradigm for constructing a partially ordered plan network, referred to as "resource-oriented parallel planning (RP2)". In resource-oriented parallel planning, goal states are grouped into a collection of goal state subsets, each of which consists of those goal states associated with a particular resource.

Enterprise Resource Planning: A Trio of Resources
Information Systems Management, 2003Abstract Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems offer a better way to help manage and improve plant and business processes. As processing plants turn increasingly to ERP to run operations, they must use a trio of technology resources to control ERP systems.

Resources Planning in Database Infrastructures
Proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems, 2016Anticipating resources consumption is essential to project robust database infrastructures able to support transactions to be processed with certain quality levels. In Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS), for example, it could help to construct Service Level Agreements (SLA) to intermediate service customers and providers.
