Computer Communications, 1998 Current resource reservation architectures for multimedia networks do not scale well for a large number of flows. We propose a new architecture that automatically aggregates flows on each link in the network. Therefore, the network has no knowledge of individual flows.

Advances in Optical Technologies, 2013 This paper addresses the issue of providing resource reservation mechanism for OBS networks. We propose a linear prediction mechanism based on least mean square (LMS) method to reduce the burst delay at edge nodes. A reservation method is proposed to increase the reservation probability and to improve the delay reduction performance.
