Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Servitization of Job Shop Scheduling Algorithms

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2018
The scheduling algorithm resources are not yet fully shared betwwen manufacturing execution system, and it is difficult to efficiently select the appropriate scheduling algorithm for scheduling problem from the candidate scheduling resources. To resolve

Research on Resource Scheduling Strategy of Medical Cloud Platform [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2017
The resource scheduling policies for the cloud platform are too simple to meet the needs of the medical service effectively.Aiming at this problem, this paper analyzes different demands of different medical systems on resources and proposes the IB-Choose ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

An exact procedure for the resource-constrained weighted earliness-tardiness project scheduling problem. [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we study the resource-constrained project scheduling problem with weighted earliness-tardinesss penalty costs. Project activities are assumed to have a known deterministic due date, a unit earliness as well as a unit tardiness penalty cost ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Information Leakage as a Scheduling Resource [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
High-security processes have to load confidential information into shared resources as part of their operation. This confidential information may be leaked (directly or indirectly) to low-security processes via the shared resource. This paper considers leakage from high-security to low-security processes from the perspective of scheduling. The workflow

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
