Electronic structure of Pr2MnNiO6 from x-ray photoemission, absorption and density functional theory

open access: yes, 2017
The electronic structure of double perovskite Pr2MnNiO6 is studied using core x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and x-ray absorption spectroscopy. The 2p x-ray absorption spectra show that Mn and Ni are in 2+ and 4+ states respectively.

Conjugacy classes of affine automorphisms of K^n and linear automorphisms of P^n in the Cremona groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We describe the conjugacy classes of affine automorphisms in the group $Aut(n,\K)$ (respectively $Bir(\K^n)$) of automorphisms (respectively of birational maps) of $\K^n$.

The Fate (Outcome) of Clinically Apparent Single Lesion and Oligofocal Nephroblastomatosis Treated According to SIOP/GPOH Protocols for Wilms Tumor

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The management of clinically apparent single lesions or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis, a facultative precursor of nephroblastoma, remains debated. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 37 patients with clinically apparent single or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis (two to three lesions per kidney) among 2347 patients registered between

Screens deny specific pests entry to greenhouses

open access: yesCalifornia Agriculture, 1994
Screens can exclude certain pests from greenhouses and therefore reduce the need for pesticides on greenhouse crops. They can perhaps also be used to create a small production area for biological control organisms within the greenhouse.
