We successfully constructed CAST/EiJ mice models infected with low‐dose vaccinia virus (VACV‐L), high‐dose VACV (VACV‐H), and mpox virus (MPXV), demonstrating that VACV‐L and MPXV infections induced splenomegaly in mice, and VACV‐H infection caused mortality in mice.

Molecular dynamics of the host response to Streptococcus pneumoniae pneumonia in baboons
Using an established, clinically relevant nonhuman primate model of S. pneumoniae pneumonia, this study aims to identify novel potential molecular diagnostic and therapeutic targets using peripheral blood bulk transcriptomic, unbiased proteomic, and cytokine measurements. The constructed models were highly accurate in classifying bacterial pneumonia in

ABSTRACT Respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) is a key index of parasympathetic function and environmental adaptability. Lower resting RSA has been linked to preterm (PT) birth in infancy and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in childhood, yet RSA across the first 2 years in young infants born PT or later diagnosed with ASD remains unknown.
