Secondary sclerosing cholangitis in patients suffering cardiogenic shock

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 3, Page 2239-2244, June 2025.
Abstract Aims Cardiogenic shock (CS) patients suffer from severe organ hypoperfusion, yet the incidence of secondary sclerosing cholangitis in critically ill patients (SSC‐CIP) in CS is poorly described. Given the limited evidence and severity of this syndrome, we aimed to further investigate SSC‐CIP in the context of CS.

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, EarlyView.
(A) Univariable receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for all biomarkers. (B) Kaplan–Meier curves for best cut‐point of mid‐regional pro‐adrenomedullin (MR‐proADM) for survival (n = 442). AUC, area under the curve; CI, confidence interval; HR, hazard ratio; hsTnT, high‐sensitivity troponin T; MR‐proANP, mid‐regional pro‐atrial natriuretic ...
