tRF‐5004b Enriched Secretory Autophagosomes Induce Endothelial Cell Activation to Drive Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a severe lung condition with limited treatments, often triggered by overactive endothelial cells (ECs). It is identified that macrophage‐derived secretory autophagosomes (MSAPs) exacerbate lung damage by activating EC function.

Accelerating Sono‐Piezoelectric Charge Transport for Antibacterial Therapy and Bone Regeneration by Metal‐Deficient TiO2 Spin‐Polarization Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The deficient TiO2 (DTO) and Barium titanate (BTO) heterojunction treats osteomyelitis through SDT. The spin‐polarization effect induced by the unpaired spin electrons in Ti atoms can expedite the transfer of ultrasonic piezoelectric charges in BTO, enhancing surface sonocatalytic efficiency.

Structural Variations Associated with Adaptation and Coat Color in Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau Cattle

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the landscape of structural variants in Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau cattle through long‐read sequencing. Discoveries include metabolic and oxygen‐regulation gene variants, along with a 2‐Mb KIT‐containing inversion and translocations responsible for cattle gray coat. These findings highlight the significant role of structural variants in

Daily rhythms in metabolic and locomotor behaviour of prematurely ageing PolgA mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio
Ageing is an inherent and intricate biological process that takes place in living organisms as time progresses. It involves the decline of multiple physiological functions, leading to body structure and overall performance modifications.

Detecting synchronization of self-sustained oscillators by external driving with varying frequency

open access: yes, 2006
We propose a method for detecting the presence of synchronization of self-sustained oscillator by external driving with linearly varying frequency. The method is based on a continuous wavelet transform of the signals of self-sustained oscillator and ...

Multi‐Omics and ‐Organ Insights into Energy Metabolic Adaptations in Early Sepsis Onset

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that patients at risk of sepsis have a distinct metabolite and lipid signature, including serine and aminoadipic acid, in their serum before clinical diagnosis. A mouse model of sepsis with a compatible serum signature reveals underlying metabolic changes, including mitochondrial adaptation, altered serine‐dependent purine metabolism ...

An overview of current approaches and future challenges in physiological monitoring [PDF]

open access: yes
Sufficient evidence exists from laboratory studies to suggest that physiological measures can be useful as an adjunct to behavioral and subjective measures of human performance and capabilities.

Asymptotically stable phase synchronization revealed by autoregressive circle maps

open access: yes, 2000
A new type of nonlinear time series analysis is introduced, based on phases, which are defined as polar angles in spaces spanned by a finite number of delayed coordinates.
