Investigating Physiology‐Behavior Associations for Youth During Parent–Child Conflict Discussions

open access: yesDevelopmental Psychobiology, Volume 68, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Adolescents’ observed affective behavior is associated with patterns of concurrent physiological responding, which explain clinically relevant outcomes. Few studies have elucidated the physiology‐behavior association during the developmentally salient context of conflict with parents.

Frontal Asymmetry in Infancy: Predictive Utility for Distinct Patterns of Temperament

open access: yesInfant and Child Development, Volume 35, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Recent theorising has emphasised motivational systems, rather than specific emotional reactions, when interpreting frontal asymmetry. We examined the predictive utility of infant electroencephalogram (EEG) frontal asymmetry during two approach‐oriented tasks within 82 mother‐infant dyads (infant age: M = 38.88 weeks, SD = 8.13 weeks; infant ...

Clinical Applications of Electrical Conductivity Imaging Using MRI

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 63, Issue 5, Page 1224-1245, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has emerged as a noninvasive technique for probing the electrical properties of biological tissues: electrical conductivity and relative permittivity. This review focuses on the electrical conductivity and provides a comprehensive overview of applications across both low‐ and high‐frequency regimes.

Yield of Whole Genome Sequencing for Pathogenic Single Nucleotide Variants in Congenital Heart Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, Volume 46, Issue 5-6, Page 780-818, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective This systematic review and meta‐analysis aimed to assess the diagnostic yield of pathogenic or likely pathogenic (P/LP) single nucleotide variants (SNVs) using whole genome sequencing (WGS) in congenital heart disease (CHD). Methods A systematic search of three databases (2000–2024) was conducted, and two reviewers independently ...

Gynaecological Laparoscopy Surgery Complicated Into CO2 Embolism, Cardiac Arrest and Severe ARDS Requiring ECMO Therapy

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
We report a case of CO2 embolism complicated by severe ARDS with refractory hypoxia requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) therapy, which resulted in a favourable outcome. ABSTRACT Laparoscopic surgeries have revolutionised surgical practice due to their advantages, including minimal invasiveness, fewer postoperative complications ...

Prepubic Tendon Rupture and Uterine Herniation in a Late‐Term Kurdish Mare: A Case Report

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
A 14‐year‐old late‐term Kurdish mare presented with acute ventral distension, cranial displacement of the udder and reluctance to walk. Ultrasonography revealed a viable foetus and complete prepubic tendon rupture, leading to abdominal wall failure and severe ventral oedema.
