An Electrochemical Study of the Factors Responsible for Modulating the Reduction Potential of Putidaredoxin

JBIC Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry, 1999
The gene coding for putidaredoxin has been synthesized using a combination of chemical and enzymatic methods and subsequently expressed in Escherichia coli. The recombinant protein characterized by electronic spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and electrochemistry was found to be identical to putidaredoxin obtained from Pseudomonas putida. Polylysine was

Influential factors responsible for the effect of tax reduction on GDP

Evolutionary and Institutional Economics Review, 2017
The factors responsible for the effect of a tax reduction on GDP are analyzed using both agent-based modeling, based on the authors’ previous study, and a derived set of equations for tax reduction multipliers, based on Morishima’s economic linkage table.

Some factors responsible for reductions in employment on farms in Hungary

2010
A decline in the number of people working on farms and in the Annual Work Units per unit area was typical of the second half of the first decade of the 21st century in the member states of the European Union. Hungary is one of the countries where this reduction is twice as high as the average. This can be attributed to a number of factors.

FACTORS RESPONSIBLE FOR REDUCTION OF MORTALITY AND MORBIDITY IN PROSTATECTOMY

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1924
During the years preceding the World War, I was strangely impressed by the fact that there were two schools of prostatectomists. One contended that the only proper way to remove the gland was suprapubically; the other insisted that the perineal was the exclusive route, and practically refused to employ the suprapubic method.

Seismic behavior and response reduction factors for concrete moment-resisting frames

Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering, 2021
The existing seismic provisions across the world account the non-linear response of a structure in a linear elastic design implicitly using a constant behavior factor, or response reduction factor (R). However, this factor (R) does not address the effects of changes in structural configurations, which eventually alters the dynamic behavior of the ...

Evaluation of reduction factors for high-damping design response spectra

Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering, 2008
High-damping response spectra are essential tools for the assessment and design methods based on the equivalent elastic structure concept. They are also often used for the analysis and design of structures with seismic isolation or energy dissipation systems. Many formulations of the reduction factors have been proposed and included in seismic codes to

Pathogen Reduction and Factors Responsible for Pathogen Reduction in Dairy Farm Operations Treating Dairy Manure

Biological Engineering Transactions, 2011
Manure management at large dairy operations presents a challenge; there is an increasing interest among farm managers for reuse of their manure and other farm residuals as low-cost bedding materials. A significant barrier preventing more widespread adoption of this technology is ambiguity in regards to the presence of disease-causing agents that may ...

Stress Reduction Coefficient and Amplification Factor for Seismic Response of Ground

International Journal of Geomechanics, 2006
Incorporating the increase of shear modulus with depth (z) by using a depth exponent p , the response of linear visco-elastic ground under steady state harmonic vibration was examined. The soil mass lying above the rigid base was discretized into a large number of horizontal layers.

Quality Improvement through Reduction of the Errors Transmitted from the Factors to the Response

2001
In this chapter we suppose that the performance characteristic’s variability is only due to errors in factors and that external noise factors do not exist. This makes possible to reveal some specific properties of error transmission from product parameters to the response.
