SRS—Spreadsheet Response Spectrum
Journal of the IEST, 1987LOTUS 1-2-3, one of the most popular microcomputer programs, is an integrated spreadsheet, database, and graphics program for organizing and analyzing data in many useful ways. Whereas many 1-2-3 applications tend to be business oriented, a substantial base of engineering software utilizes 1-2-3.

Modal Response Spectrum Analysis
2015In this example, the modal response spectrum (MRS) method of analysis is used to analyze a sixstory moment resisting frame. The analysis is performed in accordance with Section 12.9 of ASCE 7. The results from the MRS analysis are compared to the results obtained from an equivalent lateral force (ELF) analysis of the same frame.

Developing an Elastic Response Spectrum
2015This chapter presents an example in which an elastic response spectrum is generated for a site in Savannah, Georgia. An elastic spectrum is used directly in the modal response spectrum analysis approach and as a basis for ground motion scaling in response history analysis. The basic form of the design response spectrum is shown in Fig.

Response Spectrum of Wind Force
2008This paper presents the classical elastic response spectra of a single-degree-of-freedom system (SDOF) which is obtained from the measured data of the force caused by a wind named Bora. All the data of the wind force are obtained by measurements on a SDOF oscillator. The spectra are constructed for different intensities of the dynamic wind force. A non-
