High red blood cell distribution width is closely associated with in-stent restenosis in patients with unstable angina pectoris

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders, 2019
Background In-stent restenosis remains an unresolved issue. Inflammation plays a pivotal role in the process of in-stent restenosis. Significant and positive associations were found between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and inflammation.

Restenosis pathophysiological mechanisms and genetic markers after percutaneous coronary interventions

open access: yesКардиоваскулярная терапия и профилактика, 2007
Coronary restenosis remains the main problem for effectiveness of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PCA) and coronary stenting (CS). The aim of this review is to analyze pathogenetic mechanisms of coronary restenosis after PCA and CS, as ...

INFLUENCE OF VASCULAR STENT SURFACE TREATMENT WITH AN ADAPTIVE COMPOSITION (AdC) FOR IMPROVING ITS BIOCOMPATIBILITY AND RESTENOSIS PREVENTION (experimental research)

open access: yesКлінічна та профілактична медицина, 2023
Introduction. The article describes a method of implant surface treatment that reduces the risk of an inflammatory reaction to vascular implants. The aim of the research was to develop a method of coating the surface of vascular implants (stents) to ...

Flow-volume curve analysis for predicting recurrence after endoscopic dilation of airway stenosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The flow-volume curve is a simple test for diagnosing upper airway obstruction. We evaluated its use to predict recurrence in patients undergoing endoscopic dilation for treatment of benign upper airway ...

Radical‐Mediated, Substrate‐Independent Fabrication of Hybrid Solid–Hydrogel Materials With Tunable Crosslinking: An Initiator‐ and Crosslinker‐Free Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a substrate‐independent, reagent‐free plasma strategy that forms radical‐rich interlayers for covalent hydrogel attachment without initiators or crosslinkers. The long‐lived radicals drive in situ gelation, creating robust, cytocompatible hybrid solid–hydrogel constructs across diverse substrates.
