Redox‐Responsive Mitochondrial Delivery from Functionalized Vascular Stent Surfaces
A redox‐responsive stent surface is engineered to deliver functional mitochondria in response to oxidative stress. Upon exposure to reactive oxygen species, grafted mitochondria are released, internalized by vascular cells, and restore mitochondrial function under stress.

Background Prognosis after vertebrobasilar stenting (VBS) may differ from that after carotid artery stenting (CAS). Here, we directly compared the incidence and predictors of in-stent restenosis and stented-territory infarction after VBS and compared ...

ASCORE: an up-to-date cardiovascular risk score for hypertensive patients reflecting contemporary clinical practice developed using the (ASCOT-BPLA) trial data. [PDF]
A number of risk scores already exist to predict cardiovascular (CV) events. However, scores developed with data collected some time ago might not accurately predict the CV risk of contemporary hypertensive patients that benefit from more modern ...

ABSTRACT Anatomical descriptions of left‐sided oblique coronary branches remain inconsistent, hindering imaging interpretation and surgical planning. To quantify the prevalence, branching patterns and morphometry of the ramus intermedius (RI) and diagonal branches, and propose a unified nomenclature.

Bench Testing Analysis of Perforation Management in the Setting of Bifurcation Coronary Intervention
ABSTRACT Background Management of coronary perforation in bifurcation lesions with covered stents remains challenging. Aims We aimed to describe a proper practice and toolbox for “jailed‐branch” management after covered stent deployment. Methods Using a bench model, we tested various wires with a 120° angulated microcatheter for their ability to ...
