Lateral Mucosal Flap With Steroid‐Eluting Implant in Revision Draf Type III Frontal Sinus Surgery

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 9, Page 3732-3736, September 2026.
This technical note introduces a novel endoscopic strategy that integrates a laterally based endonasal mucosal flap with a bioabsorbable steroid‐eluting implant to prevent restenosis following revision of Draf type III frontal sinus surgery. The vascularized flap is stabilized and maintained in close apposition to the underlying bone by a self ...

Influence of Tracheostomy Level on Surgical Management of Pediatric Airway Stenosis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 9, Page 3907-3917, September 2026.
Tracheostomy location is a critical determinant of surgical complexity and outcomes in pediatric laryngotracheal stenosis. Misplacement may lead to longer tracheal resections, an increased need for stoma relocation, more complex reconstruction, and secondary stenosis. Strategic planning of tracheostomy position can improve surgical outcomes.

Effectiveness of a Novel Low‐Density Lipoprotein Apheresis Device Rheocarna in Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia: A Single‐Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, Volume 30, Issue 4, Page 476-481, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) is a severe form of lower‐extremity artery disease characterized by distal lesions and microcirculatory impairment, limiting revascularization efficacy. Rheocarna is a direct hemoperfusion low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) adsorption device with potential rheological and anti‐inflammatory ...

Risk factors of restenosis after paclitaxel-coated balloon treatment in symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease

open access: yesScientific Reports
Paclitaxel-coated balloon (PCB) treatment has shown promise for intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD). However, studies on restenosis and its associated factors after PCB use are lacking.

Intravascular Ultrasound in Chronic Limb‐Threatening Ischemia Endovascular Revascularization: A Multidisciplinary Survey of Clinical Practices and Operator Perceptions

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 108, Issue 2, Page 402-408, August 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) may be beneficial for guiding endovascular revascularization in patients with chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI); however, its use remains limited. Methods We surveyed interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, and interventional cardiologists in the United States, Canada, and the United ...

Percutaneous Deployment of the Sinus‐SuperFlex‐DS Stent for Hybrid Stage I Palliation in Neonates Weighing ≤ 2.5 kg: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 108, Issue 2, Page 644-652, August 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Hybrid stage I palliation (HS1P) has developed as an alternative to the Norwood stage I palliation for neonates with hypoplastic left heart and related left‐sided obstructive lesions. HS1P is currently used in various clinical settings, such as single ventricle palliation, bridge to decision, bridge to biventricular repair, or ...

Balloon Passage via Microwire Navigation Technology for Severe Stenosis of Middle Cerebral Artery: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Schematic representation of the balloon passage via microwire navigation technology. ABSTRACT This case presents that balloon passage via microwire navigation technology could be a beneficial option for patients with severe MCA stenosis, with the diameter of the proximal blood vessel in the stenotic segment is < 1.5 mm and there is antegrade blood flow.

Microlaryngoscopic Management of a Congenital Laryngeal Web in a Young Adult Female

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Flexible laryngoscopy of congenital laryngeal web. (A): Pre‐treatment. (B): Post‐treatment. ABSTRACT Congenital laryngeal webs (CLW) are rare anomalies that result from failed recanalization of the larynx, resulting in abnormal tissue that can cause dysphonia, hoarseness, or stridor.
