Prediction Model and Nomogram for Amyloid Positivity Using Clinical and MRI Features in Individuals With Subjective Cognitive Decline

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 46, Issue 8, June 1, 2025.
We established and validated a machine‐learning model and nomogram in individuals with SCD based on cognitive, sMRI, and fMRI data. Our model achieved 83% accuracy to predict Aβ+ in the brain, with an AUC of 88%, sensitivity of 81%, and specificity of 85% in the test set.

Spatio‐Temporal Signatures of Cognitive Function After Pediatric Arterial Ischemic Stroke—A Pilot Study

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 46, Issue 8, June 1, 2025.
Here, we used resting‐state fMRI to study transient brain states after childhood stroke and how their dynamics relate to cognition. We found that in particular increased dynamics of a frontoparietal state were associated with lower cognitive performance, and that the location of a focal lesion was more informative than lesion size alone.

The Dark Side of a Big Smile: Detrimental Effects of Smile Intensity on Luxury Brand Advertising Effectiveness

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, Volume 42, Issue 6, Page 1476-1527, June 2025.
ABSTRACT The expresser's smile is a ubiquitous nonverbal communication cue used to elicit favorable impressions among consumers. However, does the expresser's smile exert persuasive power in luxury advertising, where exclusivity often outweighs approachability?

A 128‐channel receive array with enhanced signal‐to‐noise ratio performance for 10.5T brain imaging

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 93, Issue 6, Page 2680-2698, June 2025.
Abstract Purpose To develop and characterize a 128‐channel head array for brain imaging at 10.5 T, evaluate signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) relative to ultimate intrinsic SNR (uiSNR) and lower field strengths, and demonstrate human brain anatomical and functional imaging with this unique magnetic field and high‐channel‐count array.
