Experiences with Surgical Voice Restoration
1986Roughly 150 total laryngectomies are performed throughout the Netherlands each year. In our Department of Otolaryngology at the Free University Hospital, an average of 20 total laryngectomies are performed a year. These are largely when radiation treatment has failed or for larger (T3, T4) tumors.
