KU80 suppresses endonuclease G activity to preserve genomic integrity
Under normal conditions, EndoG remains restricted to mitochondria and the genome remains intact. When KU80 is absent, EndoG translocates into the nucleus, where it promotes DNA fragmentation and genomic instability. Thus, this work highlights the importance of KU80 in tightly controlling EndoG localization to preserve genome stability.

Discovery of a cryptic aminoacidic triad involved in the temperature adaptation of GH1 enzymes
Cold‐active enzymes retain high catalytic activity at low temperatures but are characterized by thermal instability, a behavior not fully understood. Comparison between a cold‐active GH1 and its mesophilic counterparts highlights the role of a three‐residue motif (W‐M‐F) in conferring structural stability to a mesophilic GH1.

The emerging role of the Hippo signaling pathway in interorgan crosstalk
Hippo signaling functions as a central hub of interorgan communication. Systemic cues from the gut, adipose tissue, and skeletal muscle—including hormones, metabolites, and microbial signals—regulate YAP/TAZ activity in a tissue‐ and context‐dependent manner.
