Multi‐Li+ Coordination for Superior Room‐Temperature Ionic Conductivity in PEO Solid Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A phosphonate‐functionalized polycarboxylate ether (P‐PCE) is introduced into PEO electrolytes to induce multi‐Li+ ions coordination, which effectively dissociates lithium salts, liberates Li+ from the strong chelation by PEO chains, and promotes fast Li+ hopping between adjacent coordination sites. Simultaneously, this design establishes dynamic, high‐

1T‐to‐2H Phase Evolution During Epitaxial Growth of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
During MOCVD growth of MoS2 and WSe2, a transient metallic 1T phase emerges in early, edge‐rich, chalcogen‐deficient domains and declines as the films ultimately coalesce as 2H material. Together, experiments and ReaxFF simulations link domain size, edge stoichiometry, and vacancies to this evolution.

Can the Financial Restraint Hypothesis Explain Japan's Postwar Experience? [PDF]

open access: yes
While the Japanese banking sector seems to have disciplined borrower firms for inefficient management in the high growth era, its fragility was revealed by the serious non-performing loans since the early 1990s.

Deaths associated with restraint use in health and social care in the UK. The results of a preliminary survey

open access: yes, 2003
Many aspects of the management of acutely disturbed behaviour have only relatively recently come under systematic scrutiny. Perhaps regrettably one of the last amongst the range of strategies that may be employed to be subjected to rigorous examination ...

GaSex Nanoparticles Modulate Neutrophil Function and Mitigate NET‐Driven Osteogenic Impairment in Osteomyelitis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) emerge as a critical repair‐limiting factor in osteomyelitis, driving osteoblast mitochondrial dysfunction and excessive PINK1/Parkin‐mediated mitophagy. Gallium–selenium nanoparticles (GaSex) scavenge reactive oxygen species, redirect neutrophils from NETosis toward bactericidal phagocytosis, eliminate methicillin‐

Power Distance and Indulgence Are Positively and Negatively Correlated with Ageism, Respectively: Evidence from 31 Countries

open access: yesJournal of Ageing and Longevity
As the aging of the world accelerates, clarifying the relationship between cultural differences and ageism is an urgent issue. Therefore, in this study, we conducted a correlation analysis between the six cultural scales of Hofstede et al.

3D Printed Photon Shield Assembly for Low‐Noise Visual Stimulation During Two‐Photon Imaging in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We present the Photon Shield, an open‐hardware system for low‐noise two‐photon calcium imaging during visual stimulation in mice. Combining a 3D‐printed headplate and rail‐mounted shield substantially reduces stray‐light contamination, as quantitatively verified. Functional validation confirms reliable cortical responses. Open design files enable broad
