Automatic construction of restriction site maps [PDF]
A computer program is described which constructs maps of restriction endonuclease cleavage sites in DNA molecules, given only the fragment lengths. The program utilizes fragment length data from single and double restriction enzyme digests to generate maps for linear or circular molecules.

After entry into target cells, retroviruses encounter the host restriction factors such as Fv1 and TRIM5α. While it is clear that these factors target retrovirus capsid proteins (CA), recognition remains poorly defined in the absence of structural ...

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

Restriction categories II: partial map classification
This paper is a sequel to the same authors' [\textit{J. R. B. Cockett} and \textit{S. Lack}, ibid. 270, 223-259 (2002; Zbl 0988.18003)]. There they introduced restriction categories for working with abstact categories of partial maps, and showed an representation theorem justifying their regarding restriction categories as abstract categories of ...

ABSTRACT Background B‐acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, and while most children in high‐resource settings are cured, therapy carries risks for long‐term toxicities. Understanding parents’ concerns about these late effects is essential to guide anticipatory support and inform evolving therapeutic approaches ...

ABSTRACT Background The delipid extracorporeal lipoprotein filter from plasma (DELP) treatment can effectively reduce blood lipid, increase blood flow, and improve neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its effect on vision and retinal microcirculation in stroke patients has never been reported.

ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

Near BPS skyrmions and restricted harmonic maps [PDF]
Motivated by a class of near BPS Skyrme models introduced by Adam, S nchez-Guill n and Wereszczy ski, the following variant of the harmonic map problem is introduced: a map $ :(M,g)\rightarrow (N,h)$ between Riemannian manifolds is restricted harmonic (RH) if it locally extremizes $E_2$ on its $SDiff(M)$ orbit, where $SDiff(M)$ denotes the group of
