Distribution of Mycobacterium avium subsp.paratuberculosis in tissues of naturally infected cattle as affected by age

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2009
: The objectives of this study were to investigate Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) distribution in various tissues, in faeces and in milk samples from 131 animals originating from one imported Jersey cattle herd from Denmark.

Restrictions on manifolds admitting certain explicit special-generic-like maps and construction of maps with the manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Special-generic-like maps or SGL maps are introduced by the author motivated by observing and investigating algebraic topological or differential topological properties of manifolds via nice smooth maps whose codimensions are negative. The present paper says that manifolds admitting certain very explicit SGL maps are topologically restricted strongly ...

Continuity of the Restriction Maps on Smirnov Classes [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We prove the restriction maps define continuous linear operators on the Smirnov classes for some certain domain with analytic boundary.

Population and species neighbor identity impact trait–trait relationships and plant performance

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
We evaluated how populations and species identity influence plant performance and trait outcomes in mixtures, and assessed trait variation among populations of two forb species native to the western United States (Dieteria canescens and Heterotheca villosa) following three interaction treatments (single‐population monoculture, two‐population mixture ...

Baboon endogenous virus genome. I. Restriction enzyme map of the unintegrated DNA genome of a primate retrovirus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
A detailed restriction map was deduced for the genome of an endogenous retrovirus of a higher primate, that of baboon. The cleavage sites for 12 restriction enzymes were mapped. The unintegrated linear viral DNA intermediate that is produced by infection

Combining transient dynamics and logistic‐asymptotic growth to study the recovery of two seabird populations after rat eradication

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
This study examines the demographic dynamics of two seabird populations on Tromelin Island, 15 years after the eradication of brown rats. The results indicate that these populations are in good health and are expected to continue growing until breeding sites are saturated in about a century.

BioNanoAnalyst: a visualisation tool to assess genome assembly quality using BioNano data

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2017
Background Reference genome assemblies are valuable, as they provide insights into gene content, genetic evolution and domestication. The higher the quality of a reference genome assembly the more accurate the downstream analysis will be. During the last

Network topology drives population temporal variability in experimental habitat networks

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
Habitat patches connected by dispersal pathways form habitat networks. We explored how network topology affects population outcomes in laboratory experiments using a model species (Daphnia carinata). Central habitat nodes in complex lattice networks exhibited lower temporal variability in population sizes, suggesting they support more stable ...

On soft covering spaces in soft topological spaces

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In this paper, we present the concept of a soft covering map on a soft topological space. We also introduce the notion of a soft local homeomorphism and establish the relationship between soft local homeomorphism and soft open mapping.

Physicochemical characterization of vibriophage N5

open access: yesVirology Journal, 2005
Phage N5 is one of the phages of Vibrio cholerae serovar O1 biotype El Tor (Ghosh, A. N., Ansari, M. Q., and Dutta, G. C. Isolation and morphological characterization of El Tor cholera phages. J. Gen. Virol. 70: 2241–2243, 1989).
