Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

On soft covering spaces in soft topological spaces
In this paper, we present the concept of a soft covering map on a soft topological space. We also introduce the notion of a soft local homeomorphism and establish the relationship between soft local homeomorphism and soft open mapping.

Velocity Estimation of Moving Target Based on Two-dimensional Projection for LFM UWB Radar
Two-Dimensional (2D) projection in temporal-Doppler plan is utilized to solve the effects of range-Doppler coupling and Doppler dispersion on radial velocity estimation for Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) Ultra-WideBand (UWB) radar.

Plasmodium falciparum gametogenesis essential protein 1 (GEP1) is a transmission‐blocking target
This study shows Plasmodium falciparum GEP1 is vital for activating sexual stages of malarial parasites even independently of a mosquito factor. Knockout parasites completely fail gamete formation even when a phosphodiesterase inhibitor is added. Two single‐nucleotide polymorphisms (V241L and S263P) are found in 12%–20% of field samples.

Angiotensin II (AngII), a neuropeptide, interacts with amyloid‐β (Aβ), a key player in Alzheimer's disease. This study reveals that AngII reduces Aβ aggregation and membrane disruption in vitro. Biophysical assays and molecular modeling suggest AngII binds disordered Aβ forms, potentially modulating early amyloidogenic events and contributing to ...

In this paper, we briefly recall several basic notions of soft sets and soft topological spaces and we continue investigating the properties of soft mappings, soft continuous mappings and soft homeomorphisms.

Rapid whole genome optical mapping of
Background Immune evasion and drug resistance in malaria have been linked to chromosomal recombination and gene copy number variation (CNV). These events are ideally studied using comparative genomic analyses; however in malaria these analyses are not as
