CO2 Reduction on Copper‐Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Catalysts Tuned by Pulsed Potential Electrolysis: Effect of Pulse Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that pulsed potential electrolysis significantly improves CO2 reduction performance on copper‐nitrogen doped carbon electrodes. The formation of cationic copper sites and metallic clusters as a function of applied intermittent potential leads to notable selectivity changes compared to potentiostatic reduction.

Micro-parametric variation in Romance causative constructions [PDF]

open access: yesBucharest Working Papers in Linguistics, 2013
The paper deals with the syntax of analytic causative constructions with infinitival and subjunctive complementation. The study puts special emphasis on the syntactic position of the embedded subject (sensitive to the type of complement selected by the ...

Seeking control in Modern Standard Arabic

open access: yesGlossa, 2017
Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) has several embedded clause constructions, some of which resemble control in English (and other languages). However, these constructions exhibit some notable differences.

Ionic Control of Microstructure and Lubrication in Charged, Physically Cross‐Linked Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, charged, physically cross‐linked poly(methacrylamide‐co‐methacrylic acid) hydrogels stabilized by a short‐range attractive, long‐range repulsive potential is investigated. This work uncovers how salt addition alters not only swelling, but also the microstructure and dynamics, near‐surface stiffness and charge, and ultimately, its lubricity. Salts

Perception of organisational commitment, job satisfaction and turnover intentions in a post-merger South African tertiary institution

open access: yesSA Journal of Industrial Psychology, 2008
A merger can be considered both a phenomenological and signifcant life event for an organisation and its employees, and how people cope with and respond to a merger has a direct impact on the institutional performance in the short to medium term.

Tunable Coordination Number in Non‐Metal‐Introduced Copper Catalysts Enables High‐Performance Electrochemical CO2 Reduction to C2 Products

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Copper catalysts introduced with different non‐metallic elements regulating the coordination number of Cu are prepared by magnetron sputtering. Reducing the Cu coordination number enhances C─C coupling and boosts C2+ product selectivity, by lowering the energy barrier for the *CO → *CHO conversion step. The optimized Si‐doped Cu catalyst achieves a C2+
