Past Participle in Persian: Containing Tense or Aspect? [PDF]
In addition to grammatical and intrinsic aspects, aspectual readings may also arise from other factors like tense. Past Participles (PP) consist of the root of the verb and the suffix “-de/-te”.

Satellite-framed lexicalization of creation events in French?
As a typical verb-framed language, French has only limited ability to combine manner verbs with result-denoting constituents in the VP. Based on an event structural approach, this contribution explores the compatibility of different types of manner ...

Directed Motion and Non-Predicative Path P
In this paper, I argue that an atelic path PP headed by -(u)lo ‘toward’ in Korean is an argument of a directed motion verb on a par with its telic counterpart headed by the locative -ey ‘(be) AT’.

Dimuon results in PbPb and pp collisions in CMS [PDF]
The unprecedented center-of-mass energy available at the LHC offers unique opportunities for studying the properties of the strongly-interacting QCD matter created in PbPb collisions at extreme temperatures and very low parton momentum fractions. With its high precision, large acceptance for tracking and calorimetry, and a trigger scheme that allows ...

Directionality and Resultativity: The Cross-linguistic Correlation Revisited
Recent approaches to the cross-linguistic variation in the expressions of directed motion assume a tight correlation between adjectival resultative and directed motion constructions (e.g., Beck and Snyder 2001, Mateu and Rigau 2001; 2002, McIntyre 2004 ...

Fast antibaryon production in pp collisions as a result of string fusion [PDF]
The inclusion of string fusion in Dual Parton Model results in the appearance of diquark-antidiquark pairs in the sea with comparatively large Feynman-$x$. Such antidiquarks can fragment into fast antibaryons, thus increasing several times the corresponding yields in high energy $pp$ collisions for $x_F \sim 0.8 ÷0.9$.
