Two‐Layer Droplet Arrays Enable Dynamic Manipulation of Cell Microenvironment During High‐Throughput Bacterial Cultivation

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
A method is presented to flexibly control the droplet (cell) microenvironment during biological cultivation on droplet microarrays. The method allows for not only highly controlled reagent addition (i.e., single or multistep reagent addition), but also removal of previously added reagents from spatially isolated nanoliter droplets.

Clinical‐year veterinary students are most likely to be confident and competent in calving procedures after blending simulator practicals with videos

open access: yesVeterinary Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Veterinary students require safer practice of calving scenarios; however, the effects of a high‐fidelity calving simulator (SIM) practical and/or videos (computer‐assisted learning [CAL]) on student calving confidence (CONF) and competence (COMP) are unknown.
