Summary Introduction Guidelines on consent for anaesthesia were first issued by the Association of Anaesthetists in 1999 and last revised in 2017. Amputations in Sepsis Patients: A Population‐Based Cohort Study of Rates and Risk Factors
This cohort study of 158 842 sepsis patients revealed that between 2015 and 2021 in NSW, 11 in every 1000 adult sepsis patients and two in every 1000 paediatric sepsis patients underwent amputation. A one‐day regional simulation course significantly improved confidence in five emergency OHNS procedures among South Pacific surgeons and trainees, with improvements sustained at 6 months. Two‐thirds reported applying course skills clinically, supporting simulation‐based education as a feasible approach to regional surgical capacity building.
