$^4$He energies and radii by the coupled-cluster method with many-body average potential [PDF]
The reformulated coupled-cluster method (CCM), in which average many-body potentials are introduced, provides a useful framework to organize numerous terms appearing in CCM equations, which enables us to clarify the structure of the CCM theory and ...

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Pleasant extensions retaining algebraic structure, II [PDF]
In two recent papers we introduced some new techniques for constructing an extension of a probability-preserving system $T:\mathbb{Z}^d\curvearrowright (X, )$ that enjoys certain desirable properties in connexion with the asymptotic behaviour of some related nonconventional ergodic averages.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Influence of Shield Launching and Receiving on Working Shaft Retaining Structure
[Objective] Generally, shield machines are launched or received after completing the construction of shield working shaft main structure. However, due to various constraints, considering SLR (shield launching and receiving) beforehand is often necessary.
