Central Retinal Artery Occlusion
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 1987ABSTRACT Injecting steroid crystals into orbital inflammatory lesions produces a prolonged, high level of drug activity at the target tissue. This technique appears helpful in controlling orbital inflammations in problem cases while reducing the chance of steroid related systemic side effects.

Automated Method for Retinal Artery/Vein Separation via Graph Search Metaheuristic Approach
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2019Separation of the vascular tree into arteries and veins is a fundamental prerequisite in the automatic diagnosis of retinal biomarkers associated with systemic and neurodegenerative diseases.

Cilioretinal Arteries and Retinal Arterial Occlusion
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1979A series of 187 cases of retinal artery occlusion was reviewed. 107 of which were central retinal artery occlusions (CRAO). Of the 107 cases, 28 (26%) showed some degree of macular sparing owing to a patent cilioretinalartery. The patients with cilioretinal sparing regained variable degrees of visual acuity, depending on the amount of the ...

CENTRAL RETINAL ARTERY OCCLUSION WITH DOUBLE CILIORETINAL ARTERY SPARING
Retinal cases & brief reports, 2019Purpose: To report a patient with central retinal artery occlusion with double cilioretinal artery sparing. Methods: Retrospective case report. Results: A 45-year-old woman presented with sudden vision loss in her left eye for 10 days. Her best-corrected

Retinal arterial macroaneurysm causing multilevel retinal hemorrhage
Optometry - Journal of the American Optometric Association, 2009Retinal arterial macroaneurysms are focal dilatations of the retinal arteries that present with varying degrees of retinal hemorrhage or exudation. They are most often associated with hypertension and may masquerade as many other retinal conditions.A hypertensive 59-year-old man presented to the clinic with a sudden onset of painless vision loss in the

Retinal Neovascularization After Branch Retinal Arterial Obstruction
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1987We examined two eyes from two noninsulin-dependent diabetic patients that developed vitreous hemorrhage secondary to retinal neovascularization after branch retinal arterial obstruction. Although there was no ophthalmoscopic evidence of diabetic retinopathy, diabetes mellitus may have predisposed the retinas to a neovascular response, which was ...

A Pre-Retinal Arterial Loop Causing a Branch Retinal Artery Occlusion
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2014Pre-retinal arterial loops are usually incidental findings during examinations in healthy individuals. They are rarely associated with arterial occlusion, with only nine previously reported cases in the literature. The authors report a case of a pre-retinal arterial loop associated with a branch retinal artery occlusion in a myopic young man. They also

Preretinal Arterial Loops and Retinal Arterial Occlusion
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1979A 19-year-old man had bilateral congenital preretinal arterial loops emerging from the optic disk into the vitreous cavity. The loop in the right eye was associated with an inferior papillary arterial occlusion. Extensive examination to determine a systemic cause of the occlusion was negative; twisting or kinking of the loop may have had a role.
