Progress of non‐motor symptoms in early‐onset Parkinson's disease

open access: yesIbrain, EarlyView.
This study reviews the research progress related to non‐motor symptoms (NMS) in patients with early onset Parkinson's disease (EOPD), including neuropsychiatric symptoms, autonomic dysfunction, sleep disorders, and sensory disorders and also summarizes the characteristics of NMS in the genetic form of Parkinson's disease (PD).

Organoid‐tissue extracellular vesicles

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are lipid bilayer structures secreted by cells that act as intercellular messengers. Tissue‐derived EVs (TEVs), harvested from the tissue interstitium, directly reflect the actual physiological or pathological state of the tissue microenvironment.

Probing polarization response of monolayer cell cultures with entangled photon pairs

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
Innovative optical detection using polarization and quantum techniques is presented for biological sample analysis. This method utilizes non‐classical light, specifically entangled photon pairs, for enhanced sensitivity in low‐photon‐flux environments.

Shear Wave Optical Coherence Elastography and Structural Analysis of the Postnatal Mouse Cornea through Development

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
This paper investigates the geometrical and biomechanical properties of neonatal eyes at the early stages of development. We found that the corneal thickness is uncoupled from elastic wave speed and that the content and organization of the cornea primarily influence its mechanical properties.

Compact Monocular Video‐Ophthalmoscope to Measure Retinal Reflectance Changes to Flicker Light Stimuli

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
This study presents a compact monocular VO that captures high‐frame‐rate retinal videos of the ONH during flicker light stimulation. The device demonstrated its ability to detect flicker‐induced changes in retinal parameters related to blood flow in healthy subjects, providing insights into temporal and spatial retinal variations.

Indication‐Specific Dosing and Dose‐Evaluation Strategies in New Indications for Non‐Oncology Monoclonal Antibodies

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Compared to traditional small molecule drugs, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) often display more complex pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) properties that may be impacted by disease‐specific factors. For mAbs in non‐oncology indications, where the same drug might be used for conditions involving different organ systems and/or having ...

Temperature‐Dependent Spectroscopy and Laser Performance of Yellow Tb:YLF Lasers with 36% Slope Efficiency at Room Temperature and 61% at 100 K

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Highly efficient cryogenic yellow laser performance of Tb:YLF (Tb3+:LiYF4) is reported. The room temperature slope efficiency of 36% increases to 61% at 100 K, while the wavelength changes from 587 to 581 nm. Moreover, red laser emission at 624 nm with 47% slope efficiency at 78 K is demonstrated.
