The accessibility of high-altitude areas presents the risk of high altitude retinal hemorrhages (HARH). Four cases reported illustrate localized macular, diffuse, and familial incidence of HARH. Fluorescein angiography indicated no leakage, and a superficial retinal location of the hemorrhages.
