Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness in Unilateral Amblyopia
To test the hypothesis that eyes with amblyopia may have thicker retina, retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (RNFLT) was investigated in patients with unilateral amblyopia.Thirty-eight patients with unilateral amblyopia were studied. Among them, 20 patients had amblyopia with strabismus and 18 had refractive amblyopia without strabismus. Nineteen of 38

Assessment Of Peripapillary Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Post Pars Plana Vitrectomy By Ocular Coherence Tomograghy [PDF]
Background: Modifications of the inner retinal layer is a frequent observation following pars plana vitectomy. Aim of the Work: To assess early changes of the thickness of Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer after pars plana vitrectomy by ocular coherence ...

The attenuation of retinal nerve fiber layer thickness and cognitive deterioration [PDF]
Thinner retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) has been reported in Alzheimer's disease (AD) patient. However, whether changes in RNFL thickness can predict the cognitive deterioration remains unknown. We therefore set out a prospective clinical investigation to determine the potential association between the attenuation of RNFL thickness and the ...

Association of Cognitive Functioning with Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness
The brain areas that are responsible for cognitive functioning have the same embryonic origin as the retina. The association between cognitive functioning and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness was assessed in a large, population-based sample.Neuropsychological and ophthalmic examinations were performed in 1485 healthy individuals (mean age, 46
