Comparative Evaluation of Glycaemic and Non‐Glycaemic Factors as Determinants of Retinopathy Status in an Adult Population: A Case‐Control Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 8, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Hyperglycemia is a known risk factor for retinopathy. With diabetes cases expected to increase from 366 million in 2011 to 552 million by 2030, the global burden of retinopathy may rise. Given this observation, more attention is focused on glycaemic determinants of retinopathy to the neglect of non‐glycaemic factors ...

M2 Macrophage‐Derived Migrasomes Mediate Ischaemia‐Induced Retinal Neovascularization by Targeting TREM2

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 14, Issue 11, November 2025.
M2 macrophages produced and released TREM2‐enriched migrasomes, which were internalized by HRECs through macropinocytosis and phagocytosis. Subsequently, migrasomes up‐regulated pathological retinal angiogenesis and biological functions of HRECs by targeting downstream molecules (BTC, PLA1A, etc).

Association between mixed fatty acid emulsion and parenteral nutrition–associated cholestasis in extremely low‐birth‐weight infants: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Volume 49, Issue 8, Page 975-982, November 2025.
Abstract Background Soybean oil lipid emulsions have been implicated in the development of parenteral nutrition–associated cholestasis (PNAC) in premature infants. A recent mixed fatty acid emulsion containing soybean oil, medium‐chain triglycerides (MCTs), olive oil, and fish oil may reduce the incidence of PNAC, but evidence remains conflicting.
