Neural Network–Assisted Metasurface Retroreflector With Wide‐Angle Adaptivity
This work proposes a wide‐angle, multi‐polarization, self‐sensing, and self‐adaptive intelligent metasurface retroreflector, with a planar profile and ultrathin thickness. By integrating a pre‐trained artificial neural network (ANN), the metasurface retroreflector can recognize the incident angle and promptly adapt to changes in the incoming wave.

Development of Frequency Modulated Array Antennas for Millimeter‐Wave Communications
With the massive growth of wireless data in mobile broadband communications, millimeter‐wave (mm‐wave) communication is an alternative enabling technique for fifth generation (5G) wireless communication systems. More importantly, mm‐wave offers large frequency spectrum bands ranging from 30GHz to 300GHz that can be utilized to provide very high ...

Theoretical and Experimental Investigation of N-Bit Reconfigurable Retrodirective Metasurface [PDF]
The PIN diode-based N-bit reconfigurable retrodirective metasurface (N-bit RRDM) is a next-generation retro-reflector that offers the advantages of effective electronical control of the retro-reflection angle, low loss, and thin planar structure. However,

Planar Beam Steerable Parasitic Array Antenna System Design Based on the Yagi‐Uda Design Method
A planar beam steerable array antenna system is proposed with dual‐control circuits for feeding and reactive loadings. Two orthogonally arranged planar dipoles are excited by SPDT switching circuits, while the forward and backward beam directions are controlled by the adjusted effective electric lengths of the parasitic dipole elements.

Tolerance Analysis and Robustness of Phase Conjugating Cross‐Eye Jamming
This study explores phase‐conjugating (PC) arrays as a robust alternative to Van Atta (VA) arrays for cross‐eye jamming, a radar countermeasure in electronic warfare, developing an analytical framework validated by simulations. It demonstrates PC arrays' superior tolerance to phase errors and lower minimum JSR requirement against skin return.

Secure Wireless Key Establishment Using Retrodirective Array [PDF]
In this paper a new method of establishing secret keys for wireless communications is proposed. A retrodirective array (RDA) that is configured to receive and re-transmit at different frequencies is utilized as a relay node. Specifically the analogue RDA is able to respond in 'real-time', reducing the required number of time slots for key establishment
