Retrograde instrumentation and obturation with new devices

Journal of Endodontics, 1987
Two surgical cases are presented in which retrograde instrumentation of the root canal was accomplished with sonic or ultrasonic instruments. The canals were obturated from a retrograde direction with thermoplasticized gutta-percha and root canal sealer.

Retrograde instrumentation and obturation of the root canal space

Journal of Endodontics, 1983
A treatment approach is described combining retrograde biomechanical instrumentation with retrograde obturation of the root canal space prior to insertion of a retrograde filling material in the apical terminus of the canal.

A Systematic Review of In Vitro Retrograde Obturation Materials

Journal of Endodontics, 2005
The purpose of this review was two-fold: (a) to determine which retrograde obturation material(s) best prevents dye/ink penetration in vitro; and (b) to determine whether in vitro results agree with in vivo results. A MEDLINE search was conducted to identify in vitro studies published between January 1966 and October, week 4, 2003, conducted on human ...

[Dens in dente: apicoectomy and retrograde obturation].

Journal (Canadian Dental Association), 1997
Dens in dente is a developmental anomaly, which, in some advanced cases, requires a combination of conventional and surgical endodontic treatment. The purpose of this article is to suggest how to treat a Type 3 (Oehlers classification) dens in dente.

[Prototype of an instrument for retrograde obturation].

Practica odontologica, 1991
Several instruments to carry and put the silver amalgam into de apical foramen for it's posterior condensation without spreading this material over the periodontal tissues, bone and adyacent mucosa, has been designed along the years. This article describes an easier and cheaper way to make an endodontic amalgam carrier by the adaptation between en 18 ...

Use of the Obturator-Outlet Oblique View to Guide Percutaneous Retrograde Posterior Column Screw Placement

Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, 2013
In contrast to open reduction internal fixation, percutaneous fixation is a relatively new option for operative fixation of acetabular fractures. The techniques for percutaneous insertion of anterior and posterior column screws have been previously described.

A study in vitro of threaded titanium pins used for retrograde obturation of root canals

International Endodontic Journal, 1994
SummaryThe microleakage of four retrograde filling materials was compared in vitro. Fifty‐three single rooted teeth were instrumentated and root filled with resin chloroform and gutta‐percha. The gutta‐percha cones were left extruding from the access opening. All teeth were apicected and retrograde fillings placed.

[Apicoectomy and retrograde obturation with glass ionomer cement--a clinical case].

Stoma (Lisbon, Portugal), 1991
Even though a lot of materials have been already used as retrofillings, glass ionomer cement is still rarely used. As it seems to be biocompatible, its usefulness as retrograd filling material after apicectomies is clinically described.

[Technique of retrograde obturation of the root canal following apical resection].

Revue de stomatologie et de chirurgie maxillo-faciale, 1978
This technique may be used, for the upper canines and incisors, to provide mechanical treatment and complete obturation of the root canal by shortened Kerr wires. It is not necessary to shorten the length of the root nor to interfere with fixed dentures.
