A Degradable Device for Sustainable Capillary Blood Sampling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The device features a compostable 3D‐printed storage compartment for liquid blood collection and a degradable, poly(ɛ‐caprolactone)‐coated magnesium microneedle patch hidden within a suction cup. Manual compression deploys the MNs, creating small skin punctures, and the subsequent release of compression generates the negative pressure required for ...

Interfacial Assembly of Dye‐Doped Microparticles Driven by Combined Optical and Non‐Optical Forces

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Optical trapping controls nano‐ and microparticle assembly using various forces, including absorption for photoexcitable resonant molecules. This study demonstrates photoexcitation‐mediated assembly, forming hexagonal‐close‐packed structures at the air/solution interface.

Record Negative Photoconductivity in N‐Polar AlGaN/GaN Quantum‐Well Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
The negative photoconductivity (NPC) effect is experimentally observed in the N‐polar AlGaN/GaN quantum‐well heterostructures after introduction of a GaN/AlN superlattice back barrier. The NPC phenomenon appears in the N‐polar AlGaN/GaN quantum‐well heterostructures under infrared light illumination at room temperature.

Transformer Encoder–Decoder Framework for Nonlinear Pulse Evolution and Inverse Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Modeling nonlinear pulse evolution in optical systems is key to advancing photonic technologies. A transformer‐based encoder‐decoder framework is proposed for both forward and inverse modeling, applied to supercontinuum generation. This approach captures complex dynamics efficiently, outperforming traditional methods in speed.
