Reflections on Return to Sport
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented community sport organizations with many complex challenges, but also unique opportunities to reflect and rethink their practices (Fullagar, 2020). This study presents an autoethnography of my experiences working as a Technical Leader for a community sport organization (CSO) throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Nondestructive Testing of Welded Composite Metal Foams
X‐ray computed tomography (CT) is used to evaluate welded steel–steel composite metal foam (CMF) joints of two density classes. It reports variation in postweld spatial void distribution and correlates it to weld‐induced changes, mechanical performance, and failure within welded CMF panels.

Composite Ti–6Al–4V–epoxy lattice structures are additively manufactured and epoxy infiltrated for cyclic loading. At low lattice volume fractions, hybridization produces synergistic gains in stiffness and energy dissipation. At higher volume fractions, synergy diminishes, although composites still exceed metallic lattices in specific energy ...

Return to sport following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
Rates of return to pre-injury sport following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction are less than might be expected from standard outcome measures and there appears to be a rapid decline in sporting participation after two to three years. There

BACKGROUND There is controversy whether nonoperative or operative treatment for Achilles tendon rupture is superior. It is unknown if patients with acute Achilles tendon rupture return to previous sports activity.

This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...
