Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

REVENUE MANAGEMENT MODEL BASED ON CAPACITY SHARING AND OVERBOOKING IN THE AIRLINE

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Management in Industrial System, 2018
Aviation industry often faced uncertainty demand and high level of cancellation. Revenue management in the airline is related to demand management policies to classify and estimate the various requests of pricing and capacity control.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Dynamic room pricing model for hotel revenue management systems

open access: yesEgyptian Informatics Journal, 2011
This paper addresses the problem of room pricing in hotels. We propose a hotel revenue management model based on dynamic pricing to provide hotel managers with a flexible and efficient decision support tool for room revenue maximization.

Automated Revenue Prediction Modeling

open access: yes, 2020
RTI International has built a financial forecasting tool that we call Revenue Prediction Model (RPM). RPM ingests financial data from multiple databases, cleans the data, performs forecasting through cascading machine learning models, and generates daily reports in an interactive web dashboard that illustrates forecasted financial metrics for projects ...

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

Combined overbooking and seat inventory control for two-class revenue management model [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2016
We propose a two-class revenue management (RM) model, which combines two of the most important RM strategies, namely overbooking and seat inventory control for a passenger airline.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.
