A Minimally Invasive Framework Reveals Region‐Specific Cerebrovascular Remodeling in Aging Using Intravital Functional Ultrasound Imaging and Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (fUS‐ULM)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐resolution intravital imaging platform combining functional ultrasound and localization microscopy enables longitudinal, minimally invasive assessment of cerebrovascular function in aging studies. The present investigation reveals aging‐related reductions in neurovascular coupling, arteriole‐to‐venule ratio and vascular density, introducing a ...

Novel Vascularized Human Liver Organoids for Modeling Alcohol‐Induced Liver Injury and Developing Hepatoprotective Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study successfully engineered vascularized liver organoids (3HLOs) by co‐culturing human reprogrammed hepatocyte‐like cells (hrHLs) with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and human umbilical mesenchymal stem cells (HUMSCs). Upon implantation, the 3HLOs established functional vascular anastomosis with the host circulation and ...

A Virtual Clinical Trial of Psychedelics to Treat Patients With Disorders of Consciousness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Disorders of consciousness after severe brain injury are marked by reduced complexity of brain activity and limited treatment options. Using personalized whole‐brain models, this study shows that simulated lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and psilocybin shift patient brain dynamics closer to criticality.

Sequential Tumor Microenvironment Reprogramming by Nanoplatform Potentiates Sonodynamic‐Chemodynamic Therapy and Immune Checkpoint Blockade in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A modular nanoplatform capable of sequentially reprogramming tumor microenvironment via cascade actions and responsive therapeutic functions is reported for breast cancer therapy. Via a dual‐targeting mechanism and responsive PD‐L1 antibody release, this nanoplatform enables amplified sonodynamic‐chemodynamic therapy and elicits robust immune response ...
