Inhibition of Phosphodiesterase 10A by MP‐10 Rescues Behavioral Deficits and Normalizes Microglial Morphology and Synaptic Pruning in A Mouse Model of FOXP1 Syndrome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that Foxp1± mice, modeling FOXP1 haploinsufficiency, exhibit behavioral deficits, striatal neuroinflammatory changes including altered microglial complexity and synaptic pruning, and markedly reduced Pde10a expression. Pde10a inhibition starting immediately after birth restores Foxp1± behavior, microglial morphology, and pruning ...

Measurements of acoustics properties for level-dependent ear-muffs

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2003
The aim of this paper is to present methods of acoustic measurements of level-dependent ear-muffs with an electronic sound restoration system switched off and on, according to EN 352-4.

Comparative evaluation of predicted and measured performance of a 68-cubic meter truncated reverberant noise chamber [PDF]

open access: yes
The performance of a medium size, truncated reverberation chamber is evaluated in detail. Chamber performance parameters are predicted, using classical acoustic theory, and are compared to results from actual chamber measurements.

Ultrasound‐Mediated Biotransfection of Engineered Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Treated Bone Defects through Intracellular Cavitation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ultrasound‐mediated biotransfection through intracellular cavitation increases plasmid nuclear translocation and gene transfection efficiency by 284.7% and 131.6% in engineered bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) compared to traditional ultrasound‐targeted microbubble destruction techniques. The maintained bone morphogenetic protein 2 expression

Enhancing the Number of Modes in Metasurfaced Reverberation Chambers for Field Uniformity Improvement

open access: yesSensors, 2018
The use of metasurfaces to increase the number of modes, lower the operating frequency, and improve the field uniformity in reverberation chambers (RCs) is investigated in this paper.

Power Dissipation in Reverberation Chamber Metallic Surfaces Based on Ferrous Materials

open access: yesIEEE transactions on electromagnetic compatibility (Print), 2019
Models predicting the composite quality factor (QF) of a reverberation chamber (RC) consider, among several potential contributors, dissipation in its metallic boundaries.

Pancreatic Cancer‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Enriched with miR‐223‐5p Promote Skeletal Muscle Wasting Associated with Cachexia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
EVs and EV‐microRNAs (miRNAs) mediate PDAC‐skeletal muscle communication. miR‐223‐5p reduces METTL14 transcription by targeting MAFA, which subsequently decreases m6A methylation in skeletal muscles, ultimately leading to muscle wasting. This study highlights the absorption of miRNA in PDAC‐derived EVs by skeletal muscles and reveals a previously ...

Measurement Method for Evaluating the Probability Distribution of the Quality Factor of Mode-Stirred Reverberation Chambers

open access: yes, 2014
An original experimental method for determining the empirical probability distribution function (PDF) of the quality factor (Q) of a mode-stirred reverberation chamber is presented.

Brachyury‐Activated Fucoidan Hydrogel Microspheres Rejuvenate Degenerative Intervertebral Discs Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study describes the creation of injectable Brachyury (Bry) mRNA‐loaded Fucoidan‐functionalized GelMA hydrogel microspheres (BLNP@GF). These microspheres efficiently suppress inflammation, enhance extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis in degenerated nucleus pulposus cells, and mitigate intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) in rat models.

Reverberation Chamber Enhanced Backscattering: High-Frequency Effects

open access: yesInternational Conference on Embedded and Multimedia Computing, 2019
The need for accurate efficiency measurements at high frequencies of large form-factor devices is ever increasing. In this work, the potential of performing antenna efficiency measurements in an electrically extremely large (up to 250λ) reverberation ...
