Parametric Testing of Metasurface Stirrers for Metasurfaced Reverberation Chambers [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In this paper, the correlation coefficients and the total scattering cross sections (TSCSs) for different types of metasurfaced stirrers and the traditional metallic stirrer, and the effects on field uniformity when such stirrers are used in ...

Linking a One-Dimensional Reverberation Chamber Model with Real Reverberation Chambers [PDF]

open access: yes2008 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility - EMC Europe, 2008
Our work focuses on the study of a simple yet complete one-dimensional reverberation chamber model presented previously. The statistical properties of the fields are introduced either by varying the width or the relative dielectric constant of a perturbing lossless layer. Our aim is to show the excellent agreement between this simple model and real RCs.

Enhancing the Number of Modes in Metasurfaced Reverberation Chambers for Field Uniformity Improvement [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2018
The use of metasurfaces to increase the number of modes, lower the operating frequency, and improve the field uniformity in reverberation chambers (RCs) is investigated in this paper.

Distances between Rats in Reverberation Chambers Used for Large-Scale Experiments [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science, 2021
We investigate the whole-body average specific absorption rate (WBA-SAR) of rats under various plane wave exposure characteristics, including different polarizations, incidence angles, distances between rats, and total number of rats.

Probability distributions of three‐antenna efficiency measurement in a reverberation chamber

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2021
Analytical expressions are derived for probability distributions of the three‐antenna efficiency measurement. The probability density function (PDF), the expected value, and the standard deviation are derived analytically. The Mellin transform is used in

Metasurfaced Reverberation Chamber [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
AbstractThe concept of metasurfaced reverberation chamber (RC) is introduced in this paper. It is shown that by coating the chamber wall with a rotating 1-bit random coding metasurface, it is possible to enlarge the test zone of the RC while maintaining the field uniformity as good as that in a traditional RC with mechanical stirrers.
