This study reports a novel strategy for preparing a biocompatible adhesive hydrogel crosslinked with a muscle tissue‐derived extracellular matrix (MEM) for in situ muscle regeneration. As a natural crosslinker, MEM not only mediates combinatorial polymer networks but also stimulates satellite cells to induce a cell‐free therapeutic solution.

Efflux‐mediated resistance compromises antibiotic efficacy, yet rapid detection remains elusive. This study presents a novel phenazinium‐based diagnostic molecule for quantifying bacterial efflux levels in Gram‐positive pathogens. The optimized compound enables precise, real‐time efflux assessment using fluorescence and colorimetric techniques ...

Highly-Reverberant Real Environment database: HRRE [PDF]
Speech recognition in highly-reverberant real environments remains a major challenge. An evaluation dataset for this task is needed. This report describes the generation of the Highly-Reverberant Real Environment database (HRRE). This database contains 13.4 hours of data recorded in real reverberant environments and consists of 20 different testing ...

SRMR variants for improved blind room acoustics characterization [PDF]
Reverberation, especially in large rooms, severely degrades speech recognition performance and speech intelligibility. Since direct measurement of room characteristics is usually not possible, blind estimation of reverberation-related metrics such as the reverberation time (RT) and the direct-to-reverberant energy ratio (DRR) can be valuable ...

A reverberation-time-aware deep-neural-network (DNN)-based multi-channel speech dereverberation framework is proposed to handle a wide range of reverberation times (RT60s). There are three key steps in designing a robust system.

A new dual‐layer hydrogel barrier for preventing postoperative abdominal adhesions is developed. The inner layer, consisting of polyethyleneimine (PEI) and thioctic acid (TA), enhanced adhesion to moist tissues. The outer layer combines zwitterionic, thermoresponsive hyaluronic acid with anti‐inflammatory epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and forms a ...

REVERBERATION TIME AS AN INDICATOR FOR NOISE MAPS
Despite being an important acoustic parameter in urban canyons, reverberation time (RT) is little used to make noise maps. This paper focuses on urban RT and urban equivalent sound pressure level (LAeq) in order to construct noise maps. Therefore, these indicators were sampled in 31 points distributed in the central region of a medium-sized Brazilian ...
