Blur kernel estimation approach to blind reverberation time estimation
Reverberation time is an important parameter for characterizing acoustic environments. It is useful in many applications including acoustic scene analysis, robust automatic speech recognition and dereverberation.

Microfluidic coaxial extrusion generates size‐controlled 3D lymphatic tubes from primary human dermal lymphatic endothelial cells in a defined four‐component matrix. These engineered vessels self‐organize into stable lymphatic endothelium, maintain selective macromolecular permeability for 30 days, and enable direct comparison with blood endothelial ...

Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

On the equation for reverberation time in acoustics
A new derivation for the reverberation time equation is here proposed. From the accurate analysis of a model describing the acoustics of enclosed spaces in terms of a feedback system, a surprisingly easy and deep insight of the complex phenomenon of reverberation is readily obtained without any loss of formal rigor.

Air volume resonances and their influence on hall acoustics
The influence of resonances in a small rectangular music-hall on its reverberation characteristics was investigated. The length, width and height of the hall are 13.6 x 10.7 x 7 m, respectively.

Real-time reverberation generator [PDF]
Since the performance of an active sonar is often limited by reverberation, an instrument which could produce accurate reverberation in real time would be valuable to sonar designers, users, and evaluators. An instrument is proposed which can satisfy their needs.

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Simulation Study on Detection and Localization of a Moving Target Under Reverberation in Deep Water
Deep-water reverberation caused by multiple reflections from the seafloor and sea surface can affect the performance of active sonars. To detect a moving target under reverberation conditions, a reverberation suppression method using multipath Doppler ...
