The effect of s (Mg), p (Al), d (Cr, Mn), and f (Ce) additives (0.25–2 wt%) on the stabilization of constitutional potassium in KFeO 2 and K 2 Fe 22 O 34 , the principal phases of styrene catalyst, was investigated by means of a species-resolved (K and K

The impact of experience on the tendency to accept recommended defaults
Two preregistered web studies are presented that explore the impact of experience on the tendency to accept recommended defaults. In each of the 100 trials, participants (n = 180, n = 165) could accept a recommended default option or choose a less ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The Effect of Left-Right Reversal on Film: Watching Kurosawa Reversed
The mirror reversal of an image is subtly different from the original. Often such change goes unnoticed in pictures, although it can affect preference. For the first time we studied the effect of mirror reversal of feature films. People watched Yojimbo or Sanjuro in a cinema, both classic films by Akira Kurosawa.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

The assessment of magnetic water treatment on formation calcium scale on reverse osmosis membranes
Reverse osmosis is widely used technology for water desalination. The main problem with reverse osmosis is scaling which reduces the flow and selectivity of membranes.

The Reverse Chameleon Effect: Negative Social Consequences of Anatomical Mimicry
Bodily mimicry often makes the mimickee have more positive feelings about the mimicker. Yet, little is known about the causes of mimicry’s social effects.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

THE REVERSE BALASSA–SAMUELSON EFFECT IN THE EURO ZONE
Az eurózóna adósságválsága felszínre hozta az egységes piac egyik szerkezeti problémáját. Az egységes valuta rögzített átváltási árfolyamot teremtett az eurózóna tagállamai között.
