Development of a New 2-DOF Wrist Mechanism Using Reverse Motion Transmission

IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, 2021
In this letter, we introduced a novel 2-DOF robotic wrist with a hollow channel. The proposed wrist was developed by stacking two symmetric 5R spatial manipulators using a reverse motion transmission mechanism. As a result, the proposed wrist mechanism has not only a wide workspace, but also a huge hollow space compared to previous wrist models.

On the mechanism of reverse motion of a cathode spot

Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics, 2012
The mechanism of reverse motion of a vacuum arc cathode spot in an external magnetic field is explained based on a description the spot and its surroundings as a localized set of slow magnetosonic waves. Reverse motion of this plasma perturbation results from the anomalous dispersion property of slow magnetosonic waves.

Multifunctional Coordination Polymer Exhibiting Reversible Mechanical Motion Allowing Selective Uptake of Guests and Leading to Enhanced Electrical Conductivity

Inorganic Chemistry, 2021
A remarkably flexible, multifunctional, 2D coordination polymer exhibiting an unprecedented mode of reversible mechanical motion, enabling pores to open and close, is reported. Such multifunctional materials are highly sought after, owing to the potential to exploit coexisting electronic and mechanical functionalities that underpin useful technological

Controllability and stabilization of programmed motions of reversible mechanical and electromechanical systems

Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 1992
Abstract Problems of controllability and methods of stabilizing programmed motions of a large class of mechanical and electromechanical systems which are reversible with respect to the control are considered. Criteria of the controllability and stabilizability of reversible systems are obtained. Programmed motions and algorithms of programmed control
