Abstract Purpose The role of the posterior cruciate ligament remains debated, particularly in medial pivot designs intended to functionally substitute the posterior cruciate ligament. Own the turf or lose it: Ultrasound‐guided procedures and the future of shoulder repair
Abstract To highlight why the current arthroscopy‐centred paradigm may be insufficient for rotator cuff disease and to propose a surgeon‐led transition towards office‐based, ultrasound‐guided ‘micro’ interventions. The central question is whether earlier, less invasive image‐guided procedures can preserve tissue biology and improve value while ...

ROTATOR CUFF REPAIR IN SHOULDER ARTHROPLASTY WITH REVERSE SHOULDER ARTHROPLASTY [PDF]
This communication aims to present that shoulder arthroplasty has established itself as a treatment method for proximal humerus fractures. The use in clinical practice of the inverted type of shoulder arthroplasty, combined with rotator cuff repair, has ...

Impact of prior anterior instability on shoulder arthroplasty outcomes: a systematic review
Background: Anterior shoulder instability (ASI) is a frequently encountered pathology. Patients with a history of ASI have an increased rate of developing glenohumeral osteoarthritis and becoming candidates for shoulder arthroplasty.

Complications in reverse shoulder arthroplasty
The reported rate of complications of reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) seems to be higher than the complication rate of anatomical total shoulder arthroplasty. The reported overall complication rate of primary RSA is approximately 15%; when RSA is used in the revision setting, the complication rate may approach 40%.

Phenol Neurolysis in Pain and Palliative Medicine
ABSTRACT Background Pain is a common symptom in palliative care and affects patients' quality of life considerably. Standard analgesics are sometimes insufficient and are associated with substantial side effects. Neurolysis, the targeted destruction of nerves using thermal or chemical agents, offers an additional option for managing localized pain in ...
