Own the turf or lose it: Ultrasound‐guided procedures and the future of shoulder repair
Abstract To highlight why the current arthroscopy‐centred paradigm may be insufficient for rotator cuff disease and to propose a surgeon‐led transition towards office‐based, ultrasound‐guided ‘micro’ interventions. The central question is whether earlier, less invasive image‐guided procedures can preserve tissue biology and improve value while ...

Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty in an Adult With Achondroplasia
Background: Achondroplasia can result in many skeletal manifestations, and degenerative osteoarthritis can develop in patients with achondroplasia. Morphologic changes to both the humerus and glenoid-short humeri with patulous metaphyses and a medialized glenoid-can cause challenges that must be overcome to achieve a successful surgical result in a ...

Reverse total shoulder arthroplasty: research models [PDF]
Purpose:the past decade has seen a considerable increase in the use of research models to study reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA). Nevertheless, none of these models has been shown to completely reflect real in vivo conditions. Methods: we performed a systematic review of the literature matching the following key words:

Long‐Term Results of Anatomic Stemless Shoulder Prosthesis in Patients With Primary Osteoarthritis
Stemless anatomic shoulder prostheses demonstrate sustained improvements in function and range of motion, with high patient satisfaction and low revision rates, even after exceptionally long follow‐up. Outcomes are comparable to other stemless designs, supporting their long‐term effectiveness in primary osteoarthritis.
