Optimal Linear and Cyclic Locally Repairable Codes over Small Fields

open access: yes, 2015
We consider locally repairable codes over small fields and propose constructions of optimal cyclic and linear codes in terms of the dimension for a given distance and length.

Reversible Codes and Its Application to Reversible DNA Codes over $F_{4^k}$

open access: yes, 2018
Coterm polynomials are introduced by Oztas et al. [a novel approach for constructing reversible codes and applications to DNA codes over the ring $F_2[u]/(u^{2k}-1)$, Finite Fields and Their Applications 46 (2017).pp. 217-234.], which generate reversible codes.

Reverse engineering code dependencies [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 22nd International Systems and Software Product Line Conference - Volume 2, 2018
A number of SAT-based analysis concepts and tools for software product lines exist, that extract code dependencies in propositional logic from the source code assets of the product line. On these extracted conditions, SAT-solvers are used to reason about the variability.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

New constructions of reversible DNA codes

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics
DNA codes have many applications, such as in data storage, DNA computing, etc. Good DNA codes have large sizes and satisfy some certain constraints. In this paper, we present a new construction method for reversible DNA codes. We show that the DNA codes obtained using our construction method can satisfy some desired constraints and the lower bounds of ...

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Reversible Self-Dual Codes Over the Ring F2 + uF2

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this study, we introduce bisymmetric self-dual codes over the finite field ${\mathbb F}_{2}$ of order two. We developed a method to generate binary bisymmetric self-dual codes from a small-length bisymmetric self-dual code by increasing its length ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Acceptability and feasibility of a planned preconception weight loss intervention in women with long-acting reversible contraception: the Plan-it mixed-methods study

open access: yesHealth Technology Assessment, 2023
Background: Women with overweight (a body mass index of ≥ 25 kg/m2) or obesity (a body mass index of ≥ 30 kg/m2) are at greater risk of experiencing complications during pregnancy and labour than women with a healthy weight.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...
