Solvent Responsive Self‐Folding of 3D Photosensitive Graphene Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, 2023
Stimuli responsive self‐folding structures with 2D layered materials (2DLMs) are important for flexible electronics, wearables, biosensors, bioelectronics, and photonics.

A structural approach to investigate halogen substituted MAO-B inhibitors using QSAR modeling, molecular dynamics, and conceptual DFT analysis

open access: yesJournal of Saudi Chemical Society, 2023
Halogenated inhibitors showed robust, reversible, and selective monoamine oxidase-B (MAO-B) inhibitory efficacy in candidates that were derived from them.

Nil-reversible rings

open access: yes, 2021
This paper introduces and studies nil-reversible rings wherein we call a ring R nil-reversible if the left and right annihilators of every nilpotent element of R are equal. Reversible rings (and hence reduced rings) form a proper subclass of nil-reversible rings and hence we provide some conditions for a nil-reversible ring to be reduced.

Gap junctions in isolated rat aorta: evidence for contractile responses that exhibit a differential dependence on intercellular communication

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research, 2000
Connexin43 (Cx43) is a major gap junction protein present in the Fischer-344 rat aorta. Previous studies have identified conditions under which selective disruption of intercellular communication with heptanol caused a significant, readily reversible and

On zero divisor graph of unique product monoid rings over Noetherian reversible ring [PDF]

open access: yesCategories and General Algebraic Structures with Applications, 2016
Let $R$ be an associative ring with identity and $Z^*(R)$ be its set of non-zero zero divisors.  The zero-divisor graph of $R$, denoted by $Gamma(R)$, is the graph whose vertices are the non-zero  zero-divisors of  $R$, and two distinct vertices $r$ and $

Magnetic reversal in nanoscopic ferromagnetic rings [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2006
We present a theory of magnetization reversal due to thermal fluctuations in thin submicron-scale rings composed of soft magnetic materials. The magnetization in such geometries is more stable against reversal than that in thin needles and other geometries, where sharp ends or edges can initiate nucleation of a reversed state. The 2D ring geometry also

Discriminative ‘Turn-on’ Detection of Al3+ and Ga3+ Ions as Well as Aspartic Acid by Two Fluorescent Chemosensors

open access: yesSensors, 2023
In this work, two Schiff-base-based chemosensors L1 and L2 containing electron-rich quinoline and anthracene rings were designed. L1 is AIEE active in a MeOH-H2O solvent system while formed aggregates as confirmed by the DLS measurements and fluorescence

Falstatin, a cysteine protease inhibitor of Plasmodium falciparum, facilitates erythrocyte invasion. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2006
Erythrocytic malaria parasites utilize proteases for a number of cellular processes, including hydrolysis of hemoglobin, rupture of erythrocytes by mature schizonts, and subsequent invasion of erythrocytes by free merozoites.
