Nasal Septal Deviation Classifications Associated with Revision Septoplasty

open access: yesJournal of Otorhinolaryngology, Hearing and Balance Medicine
Background: This study aimed to identify clinical characteristics and classifications of nasal septal deviations associated with revision septoplasty. Methods: The cross-sectional study design included 652 patients undergoing septoplasty at a tertiary ...

Anchorage‐independent and faster growth in clonal population from UV‐irradiated NER‐deficient cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UV‐irradiated cells expressing a DDB2 mutant protein unable to interact with PCNA (DDB2PCNA‐) form clones able to grow without anchorage. Different experimental approaches reveal heterogeneity in cell cycle regulation and drug response within these clones, emphasizing the crucial role of the DDB2‐PCNA interaction in preventing cellular transformation ...

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

A Questionnaire About Revision Rhinoplasty Among Surgeons

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Ear Nose and Throat
Objective: Rhinoplasty is one of the most challenging facial aesthetics operations. Failure to meet patient expectations and the emergence of new deformities lead to the need for revision. This article presents the current revision surgery experiences of

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Belief Revision with Uncertain Inputs in the Possibilistic Setting

open access: yes, 2013
This paper discusses belief revision under uncertain inputs in the framework of possibility theory. Revision can be based on two possible definitions of the conditioning operation, one based on min operator which requires a purely ordinal scale only, and

Proteasomal degradation of intracellularly expressed Amblyomin‐X limits suicide gene therapy potential in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Revision of informant plausibility in multi-agent system

open access: yesJournal of Computer Science and Technology, 2001
Within the context of multi-agent systems, an agent may often find itself in a position where it receives information through informants. These informants are independent agents who have their own interests and, therefore are not necessarily completely ...
