Nuclear prothymosin α inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in lung cancer by increasing Smad7 acetylation and competing with Smad2 for binding to SNAI1, TWIST1, and ZEB1 promoters. In early‐stage cancer, ProT suppresses TGF‐β‐induced EMT, while its loss in the nucleus in late‐stage cancer leads to enhanced EMT and poor prognosis.

Surgical revision after Vagus Nerve Stimulation. A case series
With increasing use of vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) as an adjunct treatment for drug-resistant epilepsy, revision surgery of VNS grows in importance. Indications for revision surgery are diverse and extend of surgery varies.

Characterizing slopes for torus knots [PDF]
A slope $\frac pq$ is called a characterizing slope for a given knot $K_0$ in $S^3$ if whenever the $\frac pq$-surgery on a knot $K$ in $S^3$ is homeomorphic to the $\frac pq$-surgery on $K_0$ via an orientation preserving homeomorphism, then $K=K_0$. In

Non‐thermal plasma treatment of melanoma cells induced epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in a dose‐dependent fashion. This report highlights the critical need to further investigate potential adverse effects of non‐thermal plasma for cancer therapy and to optimize treatment parameters for clinical translation. Despite the promising results of non‐

Characteristic radiological findings for revision surgery after balloon kyphoplasty
Balloon kyphoplasty (BKP) sometimes fails to improve patients’ outcomes, with revision surgery, using anterior or posterior reconstruction, being required. The purpose of this study was to investigate the radiological risk factors of failure after BKP in

This study identifies nuclear YB‐1 S102 phosphorylation as a marker associated with KRAS and FBXW7 mutations in colorectal cancer. Mutated KRAS correlates specifically with nuclear, not cytoplasmic, S102 YB‐1. These findings provide the first ex vivo evidence of this link in CRC and suggest future studies should assess the prognostic and therapeutic ...
