Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty.
We reviewed the results of 10 patients (10 hips) after revision total hip arthroplasty with use of cement for 6 aseptic loosenings, 2 septic loosenings, 1 femoral shaft fracture, and 1 component fracture. Three patients were men and 7 women. Their mean age was 73 years (range 56 to 86). The mean duration from primary operation to revision was 64 months

Revision of failed total hip arthroplasty [PDF]
Ninety-seven revisions of total hip replacements are reviewed with a median time of observation of 47 months. Satisfactory pain relief was obtained in 86%.
